Rising Star Award
The Rising Star Award (formerly known as the Young Professional Award) celebrates the accomplishments of exceptional Minnesota PRSA members. It recognizes the passion of the next generation of leaders and awards a young professional in our chapter with 3-7 years of post-undergrad experience who is in good standing with Minnesota PRSA.

NOMINATION PROCEDURE
What you'll need to submit a nomination:
- A summary describing how the entrant has advanced the public relations profession
- One letter of recommendation that addressed the judging criteria for the award
- A summary of qualifications, no longer than one typed page, that addresses the judging criteria
- Up to two work samples
JUDGING CRITERIA
Achievements: Detail the achievements of the nominee and demonstrate how these have advanced the public relations profession. PRSA’s core areas of focus: PRSA is the world’s leading advocate for public relations and communications professionals. We advance the careers of our members by facilitating lifelong learning; building vibrant, diverse and welcoming professional communities; offering recognition of capabilities and accomplishments; providing thought leadership and ethical guidance; and setting standards of excellence.
As a leading voice in our profession and the embodiment of ethical and measurable public relations, PRSA also helps to advance the industry by fostering more accurate and better-informed perceptions of the value and role of public relations in the diverse organizations it serves.
JUDGING PROCEDURE
All entries are reviewed and scored by members of the Minnesota PRSA board of directors according to the judging criteria during their February meeting. Finalists will be notified prior to the Minnesota PRSA Classics Awards banquet. The recipient will be announced during the program. Finalists will each be given one free ticket to attend the Classics Awards.
